Maryland Shower

Gretchen and Juliana put together a very nice shower for me on 11/23. There was a brunch theme with a lot of yummy food. I was so thankful to have my MD friends and family over to celebrate baby Wood with us. Here are pictures from the day.

Belly Pics

Okay, so I am a horrible mother already because we have sonogram pictures and I haven't had time to scan them. In the meantime, Mike took belly pictures and sent them to me, so I thought I'd post them. Sonogram pictures of baby wood are on the way too....
Lilo's getting larger! I look super sleepy here.

My first baby, Stella, looking at my belly and wondering what's growing in there.

Getting closer.....

It's been a while since I've updated this blog, so I thought I'd get my act together and write. We are almost at 6 months and in our 3rd trimester....it's amazing how time is flying. This morning Mike and I laid in bed and he felt Baby Wood kicking away. He/she becomes more active every day!

Today we had our seventh sonogram! We had to go back numerous times because they baby is pretty active and they can't get the shots they need. It's been fun for us because we get to see the baby pretty often. Today was great because we went to a new place and they were really friendly and explained to us everything we were seeing. The baby is 1 pound and 9 oz. now! Heart rate was 139. We got to see the baby's lips and nose, that was my favorite part because until now they haven't really been very defined. I'll post pictures later so everyone can see, although the pictures aren't great.

So, everything is going great for us. We are getting excited, but also a little nervous that we still have so much to do! :)

Nikki got her tickets to come out and visit from February 26 - March 4, so she'll be just in time to see the baby. If I still haven't given birth at that point, I'll be going crazy!!!! lol

I'll post pictures this week both of the baby and my growing belly!

Larry's Getting Larger....

So, Mike likes to take my belly and shake me while saying "Larry's getting larger"...it makes me laugh, so I have a feeling this will continue until "Larry" comes out. I told him he should be saying Lilo is getting larger....(Lilo is a nickname Juliana came up with for Lily/Logan).

Anyway, Larry IS getting larger, here I am at 20 weeks:

I had to go to FL this weekend for class and we went to Disney. While we were there my friend Brian got this for Baby Woodgett, he also got one for his baby which is due any day now!!! (I look huge in this picture, but please remember that is a little onsie! lol)

We ended up registering for most of our stuff yesterday and before we went I assured Mike we would be quick since I had an idea of what we needed. Yeah, I was wrong. The first product took us 10 minutes to look over and decide on! We ended up asking mom's in the store what works best because we realized we were completely clueless. I mean, we couldn't even figure out if we should go with Pampers or Huggies...and when we asked a mother which she used, she said 7th Generation....we didn't even know about those!!!!

It wasn't all craziness....it was actually fun for Mike and I to pick stuff out that our baby will be using. It made everything much more real! We can't wait for Lilo to get here!!!!

19 Weeks....Soooooo Big!

We had our 19 week sonogram today and the baby is getting bigger. We were told our baby was a normal size and not big...yet! :) My mom came down and got to see Baby Woodgett with us. The baby is getting bigger and is not swimming around like he/she used to because he/she doesn't have as much room. Here are pictures of Baby Woodgett at 19 weeks: (in the second photo the baby is sucking his/her thumb I think) :)

Moving and Shaking

This week I finally felt the baby moving around. I was sitting in a marketing session discussing Loyola’s new marketing plan and all of a sudden it happen…and consistently. I looked over at my friend Margaret and told her I thought I could feel kicks. Sure enough, I’ve been feeling them ever since. I had felt things here and there, but nothing consistent. (I wonder if this means baby Wood will be interested in Marketing!)

I love being in meetings and feeling him/her kicking away because no one in the room knows what I’m feeling right then and it’s like the baby and I are having our own private moment. I can’t wait for Mike to be able to feel the baby kicking too. We are really looking forward to it!

Our next appointment is Tuesday for our 19 week sonogram/ultra sound........whatever I am supposed to be calling it! My mom is coming up and after we are going crib hunting. We’ll post pictures next week so you can see how big the baby is. Of course, they will only be head shots since we aren’t finding out the sex. :)

I still haven't gained any weight, but I think after the past week that will change very soon!
We have our 19 week sonogram on Tuesday, we'll be posting pictures soon!!!

We're having a baby Woodgett....

We found out that we are having a baby and thought we'd start a blog to keep track of our little one's life. As most of you know we've been trying to make a little Woodgett for some time now and we couldn't be happier that we are going to be parents. (Um, yeah, that's scary!)
We had our first sonogram at 6 weeks where the sonogramist (I may be making up that word) saw our baby's heartbeat and I cried hysterically. The baby was literally a spec on the screen, I still have no idea how she found him/her, but I was so thankful.

Our second sonogram was at 7 weeks and we couldn't believe how much the baby had grown. It was an actual "blob" now, not just a spec. He/she was the size of a blueberry at the time, it was pretty exciting. Here is our first real photo of Baby Woodgett our little blueberry:

(We've learned to scan since these)

Our third sonogram was at 10 weeks. We were able to see the baby kicking his/her legs and moving his/her arms. It was amazing. I once again cried hysterically. For some reason when we were walking out of the place I had a little break down. I think I get nervous before sonograms, so I was relieved! Here are pictures of Baby Woodgett now the size of a grape:

I am in my 12th week and feeling good. The baby is about the size of a lime! We have an appointment tomorrow to hear the baby's heartbeat, we can't wait. More to come on baby Woodgett...............
